To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A minimum of 2+ years of experience in an accounting practice
- Impeccable presentation and customer service skills
- Intermediate skills in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience using FYI, Xero, XPM, and the Australian Tax Agent Portal (advantageous)
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including a confident and professional phone manner
- The ability to prioritize tasks and self-manage
- A proactive and calm demeanor in a busy environment
- The ability to multi-task and support the team in all aspects of the role
Role Responsibilities: As the new administrative assistant, you will be responsible for:
- Managing telephones and incoming & outgoing mail
- Acting as a point of contact for clients
- Liaising with the accounting team and ATO to resolve client queries
- Arranging client meetings and managing diaries
- Invoicing and managing workflow for the team
- Scanning and filing documents
- Recording and updating client details in databases
- Preparing and sending forms via Fusesign
- Assisting with tax agent administration of client lists
- Performing general administration and office duties
