Our client, a technical distributor of the world's best building technologies, is looking for a part-time Warehouse Operator to join their logistics team in Waterloo.
Main responsibilities:
- Serve as the “warehouse guru,” providing top-tier logistics support for all customers (internal & external).
- Collaborate with the Customer Service & Logistics Manager to ensure safe, efficient warehouse operations.
- Maintain clean, organized workspaces, equipment, and tools to promote safety and functionality.
- Report unsafe conditions or defective equipment immediately and mark them as “not for use” until repaired or replaced.
- Accurately pick, pack, and dispatch outbound orders and returns with proper labeling and shipment details.
- Administer customer collections/pickups per company procedures.
- Process and store inbound supplier orders and customer returns promptly and accurately.
- Conduct regular stock takes and cycle counts to support inventory accuracy.
- Build strong relationships with freight service providers.
Requirements:
- Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident (preferred), Australian Working Visa (minimum requirement)
- Driver Licence, issued by an Australian State or Territory (preferred)
- Current First Aid Certificate (preferred)
- At least two (2) years warehouse and/or logistics experience
- Work with Microsoft Office and warehouse/inventory software and processes
- Physically fit with the ability to lift equipment of up to 20kg
- Good verbal communication skills
- Good numeracy skills
- Self starter with a “can do” attitude
- Team player
